Register to vote: It’s your responsibility

All eligible citizens over the age of 18 of the State of Vermont have the right to vote, and we highly encourage all Washington residents that qualify to register. Registering to vote in Vermont is easy and you can do it one of three ways:

  1. Register to vote online through the Secretary of State’s Online Voter Registration System.
  2. Register to vote with a paper voter registration form.
  3. Register to vote at the Town Clerk’s office.

As of January 1, 2017, eligible persons may register to vote on any day up to and including the day of the election.

Registration is available during all normal business hours of your town or city clerk’s office on days preceding the election and during polling hours on Election Day. (
