Members of the selectboard were up bright and early today to take a tour of our town roads. We were lucky to have our state representative Carl Demrow and MaCaden Lyford from the Agency of Transportation with us. We began at 6am and completed the tour around noon. MaCaden entered the damage data into the state system and once complete it will filter up to state leaders and FEMA. The selectboard will warn a special meeting for Thursday to review information gathered during the tour and discuss possible next steps.
Individuals who suffered losses in the storm should continue clean up and repairs, taking photos and documenting expenses. You should also report that damage to Vermont 211, either by dialing 2-1-1 or by visiting vermont211.org. This data informs the disaster assessment and, if approved, will allow individual residents to apply for flood related financial loss.
