E-waste & Hazardous Waste Collection 7/29/23

The Town of Barre Public Works Department has invited Washington residents to drop off their electronic and hazardous waste items collected from the flood debris. The collection will take place on Saturday, July 29, 2023, from 8 am – 2 pm at 129 Websterville RD. There is no charge for this service.

Special Hazardous and E Waste Collection

The Central Vermont Solid Waste Management District will be holding a FREE Special Household Hazardous Waste Collection, including E Waste this Saturday from 8am-2pm at the Barre Town Highway Garage, 129 Websterville Road.  This collection is available to residents (not businesses) of Barre Town, Orange, Washington, and Williamstown only (proof of residency required). Items that can be disposed of must have been impacted by the recent flooding and include:

Dangerous waste (toxics, pesticides, explosives, gasoline, oil, pool chemicals and acids),

Hazardous waste,

Oil products,

Paint & stains,

Propane cylinders,

Batteries,

Electronics,

Mercury products.  

Tires and appliances will not be accepted.
