FLOOD DEBRIS PICKUP!

Please share the following with your neighbors!

FEMA contractors will be picking up flood related debris in Washington on Tuesday August 15th, 2023

All debris must be placed on the edge of your property at the roadside in a separate pile from your regular household trash

Allowed items include construction/demolition debris (sheetrock, carpets, contents of freezers, etc.)

Also allowed would be flood damaged clothing, toys, books, etc.

Things that are not allowed are appliances (anything that has a cord), household hazardous waste ( paint, items containing mercury, fluorescent bulbs, chemicals, pesticides, etc).

Please call the Town Clerk’s Office 883-2218 or my cell 802 279-8457 and leave a message  to be put on the list for pick-up.  We will need a list of roads to give to FEMA. Their trucks are very large, but will try to visit all roads that are on the list.
